This section guides participants through the simple, four-phase journey of the Gramin Premier League (GPL).

Step 1

Registration

  • Players register by paying ₹1000 + GST.
  • Registration is open to participants across rural areas of NOIDA.
  • Interested players can register online or at select offline centers.

Step 2

Trials (Round 1)

  • Regional trials are conducted across villages and districts.
  • Players are evaluated by certified coaches based on their cricketing skills, including batting, bowling, and fielding.
  • Selected players move forward to the auction phase.

Step 3

Auction

  • Shortlisted players are grouped into talent pools and bid upon by teams.
  • District-based teams select players to form their squads.
  • The auction adds excitement and rewards top talent with opportunities to compete.

Step 4

Final Tournament

  • Teams compete in a knockout tournament at local and district venues.
  • Winning teams and top performers receive trophies, medals, and cash prizes.
  • The tournament culminates in a grand finale, with media coverage and special guests.

BREAKDOWN OF THE PHASES

Each phase builds on the previous one, ensuring a structured progression that enables athletes to grow, gain exposure, and develop essential skills. 

 


1. Registration and Selection Phase

The tournament begins with a Registration and Selection Phase where athletes from various rural communities register to participate. Each player goes through a thorough selection process based on their skill level, fitness, and dedication to the sport. This phase ensures that only the most committed and talented players make it to the next stage.

2. Training and Preparation Phase

In this phase, selected players receive professional training from experienced coaches. They work on skill-building, fitness routines, and game strategies to prepare for the competitive rounds ahead. This preparation period is essential for refining athletes’ techniques and boosting their confidence as they enter the tournament.

3. Preliminary Rounds

The tournament officially kicks off with the Preliminary Rounds, where teams from different regions face off in exciting matches. These rounds focus on team dynamics and introduce players to competitive play under the GPL banner. Winning teams advance to the next phase, while others gain valuable experience for future tournaments.

4. Quarterfinals

The Quarterfinals bring together the best-performing teams from the preliminary rounds. This phase is marked by intense competition, as each team strives to secure a spot in the semifinals. 5. Semifinals

6. Final Match
